Features of 498A
One written complaint is enough by Wife or her parents or her relatives or friends to keep the Husband and his family and any no. of persons to arrest without warrant and keep them in jail.
Arrest without Investigation No reconciliation
There is no Time Frame after immediate complaint wife or her side can enforce at anytime even midnights to arrest without any reason

Opposing for the grant of Bail Making disrepute to Husband and his family at workplace and everywhere by writing letters to husband or his relatives offices
Wife can send filthy messages or mails or threaten him
Wife can write whatever she wants in her complaint
Wife’s father or Brother or her relatives can tresspass
Making Husband and his family as criminals in the Society
IPC 498A was wrongly implemented
Arrest the Husband and his family without Investigation or even without reconciling Husband and Wife. (Making complaint as FIR)
1. If any dispute between Husband and Wife, instead of solving themselves or through elders or their religion clerks or counseling, wife is threatening and using IPC 498A
Who is getting affected?
Innocent Husband’s and his family members and spoiling his life
What is the outcome of IPC 498A?
Husband and their family become criminals and may lead to do more crimes
What Changes to be done in IPC 498A
If it’s not a Death and Wife is living separately
1. investigation tobe done by police and reconciliation
2. Must be bailable (This will applied when there is evidence by Wife)
3. If Wife or her side anybody says that Dowry was given etc., first arrest them and make non bailable to them.
Before Marriage or Even Engagement
1. Govt should make a standard marriage registration (for all the Religion) form in which have to specify that there was space that “NO DOWRY WAS TAKEN” and signed by Husband and Wife and Witnessess. To implement this it will take time so atleast they can make an agreement (Deed) copy of that there was no dowry taken.
