The three-day long International congregation of Muslims known as 'Aalami Tablighi Ijtema' at Eintkhedi the outskirts of Bhopal concluded on Monday noon with the offering of Dua seeking divine blessings for peace, progress and prosperity.
Around five-lakh people, surpassing all previous records, have joined the Dua turning the site into a sea of humanity.People took part in the Dua from nearby houses, sitting on roadsides, shops and even on trees. Apart from Indian states, Jamaats from foreign countries viz. Iran, UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Sri lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Canada, USA and England participated in the Ijtema. Hazrat Maulana Saad, advisory committee member of the World Tablighi Jamaat headquarters at New Delhi, conducted the prayers in a mix of Arabic, Urdu and Hindi. Before the Dua, Maulana Saad in his sermon urged Muslims to lead an upright life in this material world so that they could be rewarded in the life hereafter. He stressed them to become messenger of peace so that humanity at large could benefit from them. After the conclusion of Dua over 200 'Jamaats' fanned out through the length and breadth of the country to lead a life as ordained by Allah. About 200 Nikaahs were performed on the second day after Asar prayers. Maulana Saad, who recited a single Qutbaa for all the 200 Nikaahs, stressed upon the assemblage of simple marriage ceremonies avoiding extravagance. The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan also visited the venue and met various religious heads of the community. |
